| Recipe of the month VEAL AND PEAS WITH MUSHROOMS veal spezzato saut'e in heavy medium size sauce pan,medium heat 1 lb. veal chunks 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cloves garlic smashed 1 small onion chopped after about 5 minutes, add 1 cup white wine and some fresh parsley. cover tightly and lower heat to simmer for 1 hour until meat is very tender. add 1 pkg. fresh sliced mushrooms (8 oz. package),16 oz. tomato sauce and 2 cups frozen peas simmer for 5 more minutes and serve with nice crusty italian bread for dunking. a nice glass of wine GREAT TO SERVE AT PARTIES FROM CUCINA DI NONNA JEAN RESTIVO | ||||||||
